Great food, brilliant service, ambiance excellent to, was told by fellow dinner whom spent over a year in 🇯🇵 that the surroundings and food extremely authentic to that actually served in 🇯🇵

Been here more than 3 times already. Tad steep on the price, but we keep coming back again. So they're doing something right for our Asian palates.

Steak was really high price 420. So my advise is to look for menu price first.

Miss Junko-san, the owner, personally took care of us and even spoiled us with the matcha cookies she made, free. If you're looking for proper Japanese food, try this restaurant. I love the most is the matcha mochi, must try. Good ambiance with the nice view of the sea and yachts too.

Junko is located in a well air-conditioned corridor-section of Porto Arabia, The Pearl. The restaurant is decorated with various interesting items from Japan and shows an authentic love for Japanese artefacts and food. The menu is very varied and offers a large amount of choices. Hard copy menus and tablet menus give you a good idea of what to order (visuals and descriptions). The food is very good and the Matcha soft ice cream, salmon sushi (grilled salmon skin), grilled salmon, and Tofu Miso soup all were very tasty and flavoursome. I have returned numerous times as the food is of a high quality and everything I have ordered was worth it. The service is always professional, respectful and thorough. Definitely worth a try, and it is most possible that you will return for another meal.

Excellent Matcha Ice Cream.

Didn't get what I was expecting. Bill of more than QR600 for a couple of noodles and sushi plate is a lot. Ambiance is good though.

Best authentic Japanese food you will get in Qatar. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The food served here has great quality and always full of taste.My recommendation would be green tea and the California sushi or crab salad rolls.

By far the best sushi I have tried. I’d recommend the black thunder. It’s exquisite.The staff and manager were really welcoming and optimistic. The food quality is really great and I would definitely recommend you to go one day.

This is one place I never reviewed even though I have been here for years. I will try :Homey restaurant..Since I first visited Junko years back, I became in love with it. I feel like I am in Japan. The owner tries her best to leave a positive Japanese impression on the gust. For example, they have a small corner where they sell/ display Japanese artifacts and toys. To summarize, you have to visit to be submerged with Japanese love.

Visited this restaurant twice, the food taste pretty close to what we have back in Asia, however the quality of Green tea ice cream were not consistent, for the first visit we got smooth, fresh ice cream, made by proper machine, however for the second visit the ice cream looked like it was scooped out from a big container, you can actually taste small piece of ices in it, other than that our experiences are fine.

Good selection of Japanese cuisine set in a nice venue. You can also order for takeout. I suggest the soft shell crab sushi. Sometimes the service is a little slow, and they make mistakes, so I suggest you check your bill before paying.

For the most part the sushi was spot on, except they served me tuna and tried to pass it as tuna belly (which is much more expensive). All in all I enjoyed the food but it wasn’t worth the crazy prices. I wouldn’t recommend.

The sushi is looking lovely. The prices are a little steep, but the portions make up for it. Atmosphere was not incredible, but the quite was a welcome change to all the music inserted everywhere. Also the pearl has amazing views so there was always something to look at outside.p
